Today was the first official day of classes. I am magical and I don’t have any Monday classes, so today was another day off for me. I did very productive things like taking a nap and watching Merlin. I also went to the village to get an OV chip card (it’s what you put money on to take the buses and trains in the Netherlands) and some food. I was just going to get stroopwaffel, but I ended up getting a few other things, as you saw. I also went to the bakery and bought a crossant for tomorrow morning. It smells so delicious!
Continued to plan travel as well. Found hostels for Italy and trying to find cheapish flights to Ireland for St. Patrick’s Day. We also had our travel meeting for Amsterdam tonight. So far, I’m going to the Anne Frank house, the rijksmuseum, and the tropical museum. We also have a bunch of options for another museum. I, of course, am doing the Van Gogh museum. My mom felt the need to inform me that there is one particular Van Gogh that won’t be there, (the picture is at the bottom). If it doesn’t look familiar, don’t panic. It’s not real…well it is…but not painted by Van Gogh…well not the REAL Van Gogh. It’s from Doctor Who.
Anywho, (see what I did there?) tomorrow starts classes for realz. I go from 10am to 6:15 with a break for lunch. It will feel like high school again, except for the fact that my room is up a flight of stairs. It’s kind of like having school in my living room downstairs. I’ll let you know how it goes!

I took this today walking the the village.
